Valletta’s Closed Doors is a side project about old doors in the capital city. For us locals they are just doors but tourists love them, they photograph the whole door or just the knobs and handles.
At 1st I taught of shooting Valletta’s Doors during the week when they are open but after walking around on a Sunday I noticed they have an interesting character when closed. Many have been cleaned up and painted but others have not been used in years, which is normal for Valletta.
*All the images are scanned negatives with just a little sharpening and a little curves to make up for loss of contrast from the scanning.
