Samuel Ciantar is an architecture student with a degree in Built Environment Studies at the University of Malta. He is intrigued by the interrelation of art, space, and human behaviour, working in various mediums of expression from photography to public installations. Samuel tends to see photography as just a very effective tool for sharing one’s subjective reality with others.

“The selected photograph is from a series taken over  6 months across various cities and villages around Italy. Apart from documenting the visited places, these photographs of the urban environment detached from particular landmarks, seem to produce one continuous place. Whilst places are consumed as a collection of images, this process does little to help with grasping the distinctive, sense of places.”
